The Russian Federation

It is a state located in northern Asia and eastern Europe. It is the highest state in the area (over 17 billion Km 2), being located in a temperate and cold climate. It has an opening to the Arctic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean.

From a geographical point of view, there are: vast plains, old plateaus, eroded mountains and hercinic.

The Russian Federation is a little populated, even if it is big on the surface. The main problem is the demographic decline and the reverse migration from the Asian side to the European side. Orthodox religion predominates through industrial branches: energy industry, chemical, petrochemical, food industry.

The largest cities are called in Moscow (over 12 million inhabitants, Europe’s largest metropolis); St. Petersburg called white nights, being founded by Peter the Great (over 5 million inhabitants).

The Russian Federation has oil resources in the Caspian Sea area and through the defile and reformation, being a great gold producer.

The great tourist attractions include the Red Square, the Kremlin Palace, the Ermitas Museum, the Matrioska Doll.
