Fruit cake and plum jam | Method of preparation

To prepare a cake with nut and plum jam you will need to:

For Sheets:

  • 200gr of flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 200g butter (margarine)
  • a spoonful of sodium bicarbonate shredded with vinegar

For the filling:

  • 400 gr of ground nut
  • 200 grams of sugar
  • a large jar (800 gr) of plum jam.

For glaze:

  • 200 grams of sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of cocoa
  • 150 gr butter (margarine)
  • 4 tablespoons of boiling water

Prepare as follows: Flour, eggs, butter (margarine), low-boiled bicarbonate is made of a hard dough, of which 4 sheets are spread. The ground nut mixes well with sugar. In a tray with butter and flour, put the first sheet, which is garnished with a thin layer of jam and sprinkled with nutmeg mixed with sugar.

Place the cake in the oven at the right heat for 30 minutes. When it’s ready, let it cool, then glaze: Caramel the sugar with 4 tablespoons of boiling water, add cocoa and homogenise. Leave to cool a little, then put the butter and stir vigorously.

The cake with nuts and plum jam is cut the next day, if you are not lust.
